 The TamaTown Tama-Go is the first of the international "modern" releases. It is a bulkier device that features the ability to link up special figures to unlock new games. Each Tama-Go came with one character, but many others were sold separately. Also unique to this release is that they offered swappable faceplates. That means that even though there are only six shells, the possibilities for outer appearance are limitless, especially since it's possible to design your own. The first wave (Green, White, and Blue) featured flat clear covers, and resembled the Tamagotchi Plus Color. The second wave (Black, Pink, and Purple) featured faceted gem-like covers, likely meant to resemble the Tamagotchi iD. |
